Housing a minefield? Relax!
Under the University Leased Housing scheme (ULH) The University of Manchester is effectively your landlord. There’s something for everyone – from self contained 1 or 2 bed flats to houses for groups and family homes – and you can rest assured that they’ve all been inspected by our Housing Manager. Your rent is negotiated with the owner based on where your place is, what’s inside and the transport links to it.
We like to take on homes in popular areas, like Hulme, Rusholme, Victoria Park (walking distance from the central campuses), Fallowfield, Withington (a short trip on the bus), Burnage and Levenshulme.

If you’ve already viewed the place of your dreams, you can get our booking form here. This needs to come with your good self to our offices – it’s a first-come-first-served system so be quick! All being well and once we have all the details we need from you, we’ll hold the house for you and agree a date for you to return to the office to sign your tenancy agreement and pay your full deposit. This will be within 5 days of booking.

Once you've viewed the property and you and your flatmates are happy with it, you'll need to complete a ULH Group Booking form in full (you all have to fill it in) and return it as soon as possible to us in the office, as ULH property is strictly first come, first served!
