About Us
Manchester Student Homes (MSH) is the Universities' only official source of private sector student accommodation. We're owned managed and funded by the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University and their respective Students' Unions, and we're supported by Salford Students' Union, the Royal Northern College of Music, City College Manchester and Manchester College of Arts and Technology (MANCAT). These Universities, Colleges and Student Unions don't recommend or advertise any other private sector accommodation or private sector agents because we work closely with them to ensure that the needs of all students are addressed.
The result of this consultation is The Manchester Student Homes 'Code of Standards'. This is a compulsory accreditation scheme for landlords and managing agents of student properties. That means that our landlords don't just advertise with us - they actually sign a document to state that they are committed to providing you with quality accommodation and giving you the best possible service.

In addition, we also provide welfare advice and mediation between students and landlords for when things aren't going so well.
