The International Friendly Standard

The International Friendly Standard has been created by Manchester Student Homes to recognise those Private Halls and Landlords who provide a fair and transparent service to international students. They must be able to prove that they can meet the criteria as set out below as well as demonstrating that they go the extra mile in the level of service they provide to international students.

It is supported by the International
Departments at The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University as well as the International Society.

Landlord Volunteering

Manchester Student Homes organises a number of landlord volunteering events in the local community.

Our landlord volunteering projects see accredited providers give back to the community in which they run their business.

Our A Plus landlords agree to do 10 hours of landlord volunteering per year as part of their enhanced accreditation. The Landlord Voluneerting Policy can be viewed via the link below:

However landlord volunteering is available to all our accredited providers.

The idea behind landlord volunteering was to create to something positive to benefit the wider community in which all of us conduct our work and give back to that community, whether it be our student residents or long-term community members, schools, parks and leisure facilities to name a few of the beneficiaries. So far we have seen opportunities such an Afternoon Tea for the elderly, bulb planting, walking tours of Fallowfield and a renovation project for a local leisure facility.
